Designing Spaces That Support How People Feel and Function
About Susanne Desbrow

Susanne is the founder and director of Susanne Desbrow Interior Design, bringing a thoughtful, strategic, and people-centred approach to commercial interior design.
Originally from London, England, Susanne studied Interior Design before travelling extensively after university. During her travels, she discovered Western Canada, a place that held special significance as it was where her grandfather was born. Drawn to its landscapes and lifestyle, she and her husband made the move to Canada in 2008 with their two sons, beginning a new chapter that continues to shape both her life and her work.
Now based between Calgary and the Columbia Valley, Susanne draws daily inspiration from the surrounding mountains and natural environment. Outside the studio, she enjoys hiking, exploring the outdoors, creating artwork, and spending time with her family.
With more than 20 years of experience designing commercial interiors, Susanne believes the best spaces begin with listening. She takes the time to understand each client's vision, operational needs, and the people who will use the space, translating those insights into interiors that balance aesthetic clarity with practical performance. Her work is guided by the belief that thoughtfully designed environments should not only function beautifully but also support wellbeing, connection, and long-term success.
